The Department of Physical Education was established in 1982.EMEAN s have contributed much to the history of sports in India and in Kerala. There is one qualified dedicated faculty members with, M.P.Ed,M.COM,AND PGDSM degrees, joined in 2018 October who give excellent coaching and teaching to the students. The college has made a name for itself in volleyball and football. During the past many years, the college volleyball team became consecutive winner (13 years from 2006 to 2019) in the zonal volleyball championship (B-zone) of the University of Calicut. Department of physical education offering open course for the students from various department. Regular coaching is provided to the students in Volleyball, football, Tennis, weightlifting, basketball cricket and in Badminton. The department has around 70 sports students pursuing various courses and has produced good results .The College cherishes a very proud tradition of sports and it can claim among its alumni sportsmen of national and international reputation .The department has produced many National and International Players .The college teams participating in the inter collegiate and other major sports activities at All India Inter university and National Levels .There are Two Kerala sports council academy for volleyball and weightlifting hostels are running with the financial assistance of kerala government.  The Department has been instrumental in organizing national, university ,intercollegiate and state levels athletic meets and games.
