The Postgraduate Department of English is one of the major departments of EMEA College. It offers two popular programmes namely MA English and BA English Language and Literature. The faculty of department teach English in all other departments of the college. MA English started in unaided stream in 2014 and has an intake capacity of 30 students, while BA in English Language and Literature is in aided sector with a legacy of 20 years, having an intake capacity of 60. All the computer Science students are the members of IT club. 15 students, 5 students from each batch, are selected as executive members. The students from other discipline can also register as a member. The main objective of the club is to keep aware the students with the latest skills in IT apart from the regular IT syllabus, and give them practical hands on experience and to enhance the analytical and logical aptitude of students. The club also aims to bring out the best in students & enhance their logical and creative ability to groom individual's potentials and provide an environment to work independently. It also facilitates to make them aware of the various career opportunities in the IT industry and related job profiles.
