From Texts to Talks: Mastering Casual English

The PG Department of English, EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty, organized a dynamic and interactive session titled “From Texts to Talks: Mastering Casual English” on 13th October 2025 (Monday) at 1:30 PM in the Seminar Hall.
The session aimed to help students enhance their spoken English skills and gain confidence in everyday communication. The resource person, Dr. Abdul Rasack P, Principal, NICE Public School, Calicut University, delivered an engaging talk that explored the nuances of informal and conversational English.
Dr. Rasack emphasized the importance of context, tone, and cultural awareness in effective communication. Through practical examples and live interactions, he encouraged participants to move beyond textbook learning and develop natural fluency in English conversations.
The session proved highly beneficial for students, providing them with valuable strategies to express themselves confidently in academic and social settings.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Faseela P. A., and Ms. Ansila Rahmath A. P. served as the Student Coordinator. The event received excellent feedback for its interactive approach and real-world relevance.
