Soft skill workshop-Tides of Tomorrow
February 18, 2026The PG Department of History & West Asian Studies, EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty, successfully conducted the soft skill workshop “Tides of Tomorrow” on February 10, 2026, at Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, Azhimukham.
The programme, organized under the theme “Every ending is a new tide rising,” aimed at equipping students with essential soft skills required for personal growth and professional success. The serene and refreshing environment of the bird sanctuary provided an ideal setting for experiential learning and meaningful interaction.
The workshop was led by Muhammad Shafi T, Assistant Professor of History, who served as the trainer. Through engaging sessions, interactive activities, and thought-provoking discussions, he emphasized the importance of effective communication, leadership qualities, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and adaptability in today’s competitive world.
Students actively participated in group tasks, reflective exercises, and team-building activities designed to enhance confidence and interpersonal skills. The programme encouraged participants to embrace change positively and view challenges as opportunities for growth.
The workshop concluded with positive feedback from students, who expressed that the session was both inspiring and practical. “Tides of Tomorrow” proved to be a meaningful initiative that motivated students to prepare themselves for future academic and career endeavors with renewed confidence and clarity.
